Closure

Closure

Written by Daniel Williams

When me and my sister Diane got off the bus we started walking home. Brandon was driving his Ford Taurus and kept coming past us. He looked at me while he drove.

“What are you doing?” asked Brandon.

“I just came home from school,” said Derrick.

Brandon drove away and went home. Derrick wanted to follow him home but that Diane would tell dad. They walk home and got settled. Derrick plan what he was going to do.

“Dad, can I go get some candy?” asked Derrick.

“Sure,” said his dad.

Derrick did not get his candy and instead went to see Brandon. But wait a second to get his candy. But anyway, Derrick wants to get his candy and went to see Brandon. It was snowing and cold. Derrick stomps over the snow and breathe heavily.

Derrick knocks on Brandon’s door and he answered.

“Hey, Derrick,” said Brandon.

Derrick came inside and sat down on the couch.

“Let me have a coke, please,” said Derrick.

Brandon gave him his pop.

“I saw you walking past me, what you were coming home from school?” asked Brandon.

“Yes, I did come home.”

I Love It When It...

I Love It When...

I Love It When books full my head

Books that seep into my soul

I Love It When pages are turned

Pages add more chapters in the book

I Love It When there is adventure

A book I can get lost in reading

I Love It When you don't have to be loud

The book is telling about what you have been through

I Love It When books gives comfort

The book makes you stop crying and start smiling

I Love It When books are read at school in English class

I Love It When you can't stop reading

Your spirit tells you that you love reading books

Start reading!

Brothers Stand Strong

Chapter 2
Going out for the team
As the conflict between Mr. Stumble and Jarvis seem to boil over, Jarvis got to be on the football team.
Jarvis used his cell phone to call his mom.
"That's great baby," said his mom excitedly.
"Mom, stop calling me baby. I know you love me," said Jarvis.
"I'm just so happy that you really have the classes this year. You are doing so well. Your father would've been so proud."
Once he hung up the phone, Manuel Ramirez (Jarvis' friend) stopped him.
"Hey man, what's wrong?" asked Manuel.
"Ah...I lost my notes for Mrs. Serena's class; do you have yours?" asked Jarvis.
"Let me check. My wave cap, grease for my waves, a picture of my daughter, nope."
Manuel came over and hugged Jarvis.
Manuel always says man a lot, and it is cool! He can say that and own the word, man.
Manuel and Jarvis went to class, and everything that he told him did not affect his day.
At football tryouts, Coach Cruise told the players about he used to play professional football and played for the Seahawks back in Florida.
He appeared on Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, the CW, ESPN, and also appeared on many television shows like Maury, Jay Leno, and ESPN series: "Pardon for Interruption" and "Cold Pizza."
The boys were trained how to under-run players with the ball and throw an over-toss from the center point to and from the quarterback line.
"Pick up your feet! Pick up your feet!" yelled Coach Cruise.
"Crap, I can't...I'm tired," said Jarvis anxiously.
"Sit up, sit up, look I know that maybe if you put some body into it you would've been tired. Sit out man," told Coach Cruise.
After practice, the boys went to the locker room to change and leave.
Jarvis' coach was disappointed he was not trying.
He gave his mom a call and she wondered if there was a way she could get him back on the team.
"Jarvis?" said his mom.
He sighed. "Yes ma'am?"
"I talked to Mr. Who?"
"Coach Cruise?"
"Right, your coach called me, something about you got kicked off the team."
"Yeah, it's not like he just found the talent he needed."
"I know, I know believing in God has made many opportunities for us, if we want to succeed, we have to move forward and go where God leads us," said his mom.
"I'm really tired of how all this about God and how today there was no lucky for me, maybe you should find a way out for us."
Jarvis took a bus to school at five in the afternoon to see all the talk about how football tryouts went.
"Okay boys, I'll see you guys tomorrow," said Coach Cruise.
"So Mr. Johnson what did your mom say?"
"We got into a fight, so I don't know," said Jarvis.
"I'm not surprised."
"I'll talk to you in the morning about what we're going to do."
"Night coach," said Jarvis.
"Night."
"Hey Manuel, did you made the football team?" asked Jarvis.
"Yeah, did you?" told Manuel.
"The coach will tell me in the morning, hey want to come over, play football?"
"Sure."
Roni was over Old Man Hunt's house talking to him. Jarvis and Manuel pulled up by Old Man Hunt's house and they had words to each other.
"Man, why you're talking to my brother?!" yelled Jarvis.
"No, let it go," said Roni.
"Yeah, let it go and tell your mom to..." Old Man Hunt punched Jarvis spitting in his yard.
"You ever spit on my yard, I'll mess you up like I did your daddy!" yelled Old Man Hunt.
"Come on, Jarvis!" panicked Roni.

It's Friends, my short story!

Its Friends
"What's up?" said Damon.
"Hey," said Daniel.
Damon was over my friend's house. Damon was like a big brother to me. We took a lot of pictures. I was an experienced photographer but I like using deposable cameras. When I was thirteen, my parents took me to study photography in Germany, Rome, Tokyo, and Paris. Daniel is fifteen now. Damon wore a black logo shirt, blue jeans and white crispy Nike Air Force Ones.
Damon smoked Newport shorts.

Daniel: I'm doing good. Tell me about yourself.
Damon: My name is Damon Brooks and I am 20 years old, used to live in Chicago but moved to Fort Wayne. I attend college at IPFW and studying creative writing. I have no kids and live with my parents. I drink socially and smoke regularly. I smoke Newport shorts.
One day, I was talking to these guys who were playing basketball.
"Can I talk to you?" said Daniel.
They played the ball.
"Can you do my play?" asked Daniel.
"Hell no," said one of them.
They laugh and went off.
"Okay, thank you," said Daniel.
Daniel was disappointed by the boys who did not let that stop him. Daniel could not help everyone. Daniel was talking about it. People were mean and did not care. Later that night, Daniel read one of Sharon M. Draper books.
Two months, after that, his friend Damon came over and was tired and all. Daniel began to upload his pictures. The pictures he took are his parents and his family. His computer was a Dell laptop comptuer. Daniel went to check up on his friend sleeping.
"Are you all right?" said Daniel.
"Yeah," said Damon.
Daniel sit the door and got back on the computer. Daniel was adding his pictures on my space. Daniel wrote his blog on the site. Daniel wrote about his life in high school. It was personal how he felt about his freshman year at North Side High School.
Once Damon got up from sleeping, Damon puts his shoes on and talks to Daniel.
"What are you doing?" asked Damon.
"I'm busy writing my blog on myspace," said Daniel.
Damon open his Newport box and smoked a cigarette. Damon gave Daniel some ideas about what he was writing.
"You should not talk about yourself a lot. I know you want to talk about North Side but you can tell how you feel about your experience at North Side. Do you like North Side?"
Damon was thinking of other ways.
"How did you feel about being at North Side?"
"It was nervous but I got use to it," answered Daniel.
Damon got up and went to the kitchen. Damon pour some juice for him and Daniel. Damon can back with their cups. Damon sat Daniel's cup by his computer.
"Thank you," said Daniel.
"Your welcome," said Damon.
